BuhBye 2009
Christmas was wonderful and perfect and low-key. Welllll, as low-key as Christmas can be!
On Wednesday the 23rd I picked up my brother at 7am in a snowstorm and we headed West. It was a little sketchy from Denver to Vail, but it was smooth sailing afterwards. We made it back to mom and dad’s by about 5:30 where I had dinner really quick and headed home. Little Atti slept through the night and spent the next day with my Bro in the morning and Hanny in the evening.
Christmas Eve CD received a Kawasaki 4×4 Power Wheel from my mom and dad. We had him close his eyes while they brought it inside and his reaction to it was the kind that made both Cat and I choke up with emotion. You’ve never seen a happier or more surprised little boy. His reaction the next morning to the puppy was no less emotional… and that poor puppy did not touch the ground the rest of the day. They bonded instantly and he hasn’t complained once about having to clean up Atticus’ accidents.
We (lol, I say WE but you know I’m the only one that will be using it) received a KitchenAid Stand Mixer for Christmas from my parents. I’ve wanted one for YEARS and was so stupid excited to get this one!
Christmas Day after we opened our Santa stockings we headed to the MIL’s. We had good food and good fun with the family. I beat the MIL at both Scrabble Slam and Crapola… which she did NOT appreciate.
Now we are trying to get Christmas packed up before we leave for Burg on Thursday evening for the weekend. My birthday is on Tuesday and the rule is that NO CHRISTMAS can be present on my birthday.

Have a great weekend in ‘burg!!
Can you believe it’s our birthday time again, already?? I say already, but this year has been awful and long. ;p

My rule is no Christmas can be present when I go back to school on the 4th. Sounds like you had a great Christmas. I’m sure the puppy unveiling was priceless.
